The second of a series of poems addressed to my drone. They were composed by dictations to my iPhone, which serves as the drone’s remote control. Toy drones are a cunning way of habituating us to the widespread use of drones in the world, but the smart phone is a more effective and subtler way. These phones can see you, hear you, and track every movement. Many of us are already carrying them, undercover drones in our pockets.
You could say I’m speaking to my drone, or that I’m speaking about my drone. This video is part of my project, Black Mirror.
